Celebrating the creativity of culture. Sneakers are more than footwear, as everyone knows. They are a form of expression and in a designer’s hand, raw creativity.
We decided to lean into this by collaborating with some of the best of the best. Tira Audrey of Walk Like Her, stylist Khalilah Beavers (Carmelo Anthony, Jimmy Butler), and comic artist Julie Anderson all partnered with Urbanime to drop a mini-lookbook of comic illustrated Air Max styles.
The EP also highlights women of color in sneakers with interviews from Khalilah, Tira, and Julie as a celebration of Women’s History Month.
